Never a truer tale has been told... than that of Richard, his bike and the cold.

that is so great! I'll be sure to tell the story of Richard around these parts (Germans friggen love Canada so I think it will spread).

Richard is a legend for so many reasons, this is just but one of them.

Is he still biking in the winter? I'm living in Sudbury now, I'll have to keep an eye out for him! Very brave... I consider myself fairly winter-hardy, but I wouldn't bike on these streets in the winter. Driving on them is sufficiently hazardous, and walking is almost impossible! (The potholes, the lack of clearing, the ice...)

Richard is amazing. When he comes to TO and bikes around the city, it is impressive. Got rid of my bike about 10 years ago---afraid of being doored etc. It is pretty risky here, even in the summer. So hurrah for all you brave cyclists.

Stevie

Richard is legen...wait for it...dary.

Not to snow on Richard's parade, but there are plenty of equally crazy, er, eccentric people here in Cow-Town. When people talk about putting on their winter tires, it pays to ask if they mean their car or their bike! However, if I recall, Sudbury winter's are much longer and snowier. Couple that with the lack of bike etiquette and Richards beats them all, handlebars down.
